Thai Curry Recipe

The most important ingredient you will need is the Thai coconut curry sauce. This sauce is jam-packed with flavors and the perfect amount of spice. Yellow curry is known to be the most mild curry out of the various Thai curries which is the perfect entryway to Thai curry if this is your first time trying or you are worried about spice level. Thai curry has unique flavors consisting of coconut milk, lemongrass, turmeric, and galangal. You can definitely taste the sweet mild flavors of the coconut milk which complements the spices really well. Thai curry is usually served over a bed of rice or noodles.

Thai Curry Ingredients

To level up this premade sauce, I added sautéed chicken, bell peppers, and tofu. This Thai coconut curry sauce does not contain any animal products, so it can easily be turned into a vegan/vegetarian dish. The only other ingredients I added was a dash of salt and pepper to balance out all the flavors especially since I added tofu and bell peppers which can slightly wash out the flavors of the sauce.

Other popular ingredients found in Thai curry are: beef, shrimp, potatoes, carrots. There is no right or wrong way to enjoy this curry, so include any ingredients you have in your fridge. As for the carbs, jasmine or basmati rice would pair well with it. Noodles or naan bread would also be a good match. Second day curry is always better so don’t be worried about leftovers!
