Ajishima Furikake Rice Seasoning: Katsuo Fumi Bonito
Furikake is the Japanese seasoning you shake over your cooked rice, a sweet-salty-umami blend of crunchy seaweed bits, sesame seeds, salt, tasty spices, and lots of bonito flakes. Bonito is one of the two pillars of Japanese broth, used to simmer vegetables and make miso soup. The Katsuo Fumi Bonito furikake seasoning is very fish-forward, and thanks to all the shaved bonito, it’s basically umami confetti.
