Taimatsu Shokuhin Kinetsuki Mochi Rice Cake
While most see mochi as sweet with filling, that’s actually called daifuku, a type of mochi. Mochi is made of 100% mochigome (short-grained glutinous rice), and plays a significant role in Japanese culture, especially during the New Year. Today in Japan, it's popular to buy pre-cut mochi (just like this one) to prepare at home! Many bake and boil to enjoy as is, while others go the sweet or savory route by adding their mochi to miso soup, udon, ice cream, or making their own daifuku!
